A couple of weeks ago I posted here, telling you all about the Harry Potter LEGO Custom Contest
hosted by millionaireplayboy.com. You can read the contest rules and whatnot HERE
Newsflash, the deadline for entries was November 4th, but it was extended to November 14th. The contest prize are the new Harry Potter Graveyard
and Harry and the Horntail
I posted my first contest entry in this forum and I admit it was a bit... rustic. Hadn't mastered photography of such small items and while I haven't yet mastered the genre, I'm getting slowly better. Anyway, here are more of my contest entries. ( Click here for lovely spoiler Lego scenes from Harry Potter and the Half-blood PrinceCollapse ) Current Mood: fullofself

Hello!? *hears crickets, though they are nearly drowned out by echo of empty LJ community*
Ok, those of you who are out there, I just joined this community and refuse to accept that it managed to die before I got here. Sooo... thought I'd announce a contest being held at millionaireplayboy.com
This is for those who enjoy both Harry Potter (yeah!) and Legos too. The prizes for the contest are two LEGO Goblet of Fire sets: the Graveyard Set, the Harry and the Horntail set. All you gotta do is recreate a scene from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince using LEGOs, photograph the scene and enter it! The Rules:
1. You may enter as many entries as you like
2. Photo must be a jpg submitted by email to email@example.com along with a title, description of the scene, and your name.
3. You must use LEGO bricks, minifigures, or anything from LEGO in the design to qualify for entry.
4. You are allowed to use other items to recreate the scene as long as something of LEGO is present
5. The scene must be specifically from Book 6
6. Entries are due by November 4th. The winner will be announced on Mugglenet Podcast Episode (15) debuting on November 13th.
Here's my first entry. ( cut for spoiler, for so-called Potter fans who haven't read HP:Half Blood PrinceCollapse ) Current Mood: Full of Myself

Harry and Hermione's barbecue
I took these photos in August, I think, but didn't get them developed until a few weeks ago *hangs head in shame* Anyway, if you need a mid-winter pick-me-up, you can watch Harry and Hermione having a barbecue (southern Wisconsin is doubling for rural England/Scotland ;)( Photos below to spare your f-listCollapse ) Current Mood: amused

Making a Ron Doll
For all those that wish they'd made a Hogsmeade Ron! X-posted to hpdolls:
Making A Ron Doll
As much of a Harry/Hermione Shipper as this doll enthusiast is, my Harry Potter world ain't complete without the Red-headed Wonder-dork, Ron Weasley. I love him dearly, and so I embarked on a project that would become far more complicated than I realised, but not in a bad way. ( Making the Ron Doll a Reality!Collapse )

Right now I've got one of the Norbert shots as mine.

I'd like to make first post since I just made this community and I hope we get lots of members.
If we don't get any members, I'll just use this community to post my images without having to clog up my journal or other communities.
Here are the ones I have....( My Hermiones...Collapse )( My Harrys...Collapse )
For anybody wondering if they ever made a Ron, they did. For the Hogwarts Hero set there was a Ron included with the Harry and Hermione. I guess he didn't sell well enough to be included in HS,MT, or H.
